Giuseppe D’Incà

Giuseppe D’Incà

Giuseppe D’Incà was born at Torre Orsaia in the province of Salerno, Italy, in 1960. After graduating from High School, he enrolled in the University of Salerno to study engineering. Before long, however, he abandoned his studies in order to pursue his newfound passion: photography.

To develop his skills, Giuseppe participated in various workshops held in Milan, beginning with Ansel Adam’s Zone System and progressing through studies in darkroom techniques, portraiture, and photojournalism. While attending these workshops, Giuseppe met some of the most accomplished and well-known Italian photographers. Building on the experience he acquired in his studies, he was later able to host his own photographic workshops.

Giuseppe, who is now based in Olevano sul Tusciano, has contributed freelance work to numerous Italian magazines and photo agencies. Although he dedicates most of his creative efforts to portraits and weddings, he still finds time for photographic exploriations of Italian traditions and culture as well as the scenery and realties of other lands.

Giuseppe’s photographic travels have been showcased in three major personal exhibitions: Berlin 1999, Wilmington 2002, and New York 2003.

Quote of the day

Books constitute capital. A library book lasts as long as a house, for hundreds of years. It is not, then, an article of mere consumption but fairly of capital, and often in the case of professional men, setting out in life, it is their only capital.
