Our authors

writer

Cedar Tree Books are written by historians, researchers, and archivists as well as persons who have had no formal historical education beyond their high school and/or college courses.

No matter what their background, however, our writers share a love for their subjects and a desire to preserve them, both for their own sake and for the benefit an interested readership.

Our authors are local persons writing about local people, places, and things.

Quote of the day

Books constitute capital. A library book lasts as long as a house, for hundreds of years. It is not, then, an article of mere consumption but fairly of capital, and often in the case of professional men, setting out in life, it is their only capital.
